I’ve spent a good part of the past coupla days packing’n’posting copies of Bridging the Gaps. The first batch of sales is always exciting and, I’m glad to say, took up a bit of time.
Now it’s time to get ready for this week’s outings. They kick off on Thursday August 10th with ‘In Conversation’ where I’ll be chatting with the comedian, Titanorak and expert compere Susan Morrison. That’s at The New Town Theatre on George Street, Edinburgh at 12noon. It’s Fringe Venue 7.

Onward to the weekend where there are more collaborations.
On Saturday night I play The Fraser Centre in Milngavie. My dear pal, and regular collaborator, Jill Jackson will be my guest and, as well as a solo spot from Jill, I’m sure we’ll manage a couple of songs together.
On Sunday it’s Pitlochry Festival Theatre with long-term friend and singing companion Barbara Dickson. Barbara and I have been singing together for 50 years now. Due to the demands of other commitments, this show doesn’t get nearly enough outings so it’ll be great to see you there.
The ‘Bridging the Gaps’ CD package is now available in the shop at www.rabnoakes.com/shop.
It contains the 1972 album ‘Rab Noakes’ on A&M, 1978’s ‘Restless’ on Ring O’Records and the 1980 album ‘Rab Noakes’ on MCA. It’s all the original album tracks plus some bonus songs. They include a b-side which didn’t feature on an album, a version specially recorded for a single, an out-take, a rehearsal recording and a version edited and mixed for a single.
All three LPs are placed chronologically on this double-CD which totals 37 tracks.
It’ll be priced at £9.99 for download (full album only) and £14.99 + P&P for CDs.
I remind you that the website shop will be closed for refurbishment from Sunday August 20th until Sunday October 1st.
So, get this now for pre-release possession.
