News August 22th 2018

Hiya all

Welcome to this, the first, and possibly only, note of August.

It’s taken a while, partly because this month is of course Edinburgh’s Festivals time and I have had a few activities this year and partly because I was visited by the nasty little coughing virus.

The main activity for the remainder of the month will be around the new record:

Welcome to Anniversaryville has now been released for a week or two and continues to be well regarded by listeners and reviewers alike. Here’re a couple of reviews in addition to the ones I posted last month:

Before the end of this month the main event around here is the Official Launch of the ‘Welcome to Anniversaryville’ album at the Lochgelly Centre on Wednesday 29th August. There’ll be an exhibition of Celie Byrne’s work, some socialising and a concert set. This’ll be with members of the 70/50 in 2017 band, who all made marvellous contributions to the record, playing songs from it. This gives the evening its uniqueness in terms of performance as there won’t be many chances to hear this band together. We’ll all be here with the exception of Jill Jackson who will be touring her new record in The Netherlands. The link to the launch is below.

By the way Jill has a lovely new album out called ‘Are we there yet?’. Check it out on her website

We’d obviously love you to buy from our site but the record will also be available in stores and online.

If Amazon’s your preferred retailer the here’s their link to a pre-release order.

Let me post a link to something you might be interested in. It’s a crowdfunder for Innes Watson’s guitar project. Take a look:-

I’m excitedly looking forward to the official album launch
